Writers’ Strike Comes to an End

shows on air with black themes. In some good news, CW’s The Game, created and executive produced by Mara Brock Akil, who created Girlfriends, will return.

In spite of the strike’s end, viewers will still have to wait until spring to see new episodes of their favorite shows as the studios resume production. In addition to The Game, shows scheduled to return this spring with new episodes include ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy,Desperate Housewives, and Ugly Betty; NBC’s The Office, 30 Rock, Law & Order, and ER; each version of CBS’s CSI franchise as well as the network’s series Cold Case and Without a Trace; and CW’s and One Tree Hill.

As Hollywood issues a sigh of relief that the writers strike is over and done with, some people are already a little nervous that the actors could strike next. The Screen Actor Guild contract expires on June 30, and tension is already in the air.
