Moderator and Emmy award-winning executive producer Helene Lerner will be joined Thursday by a panel of gutsy women who will teach you how they transitioned into their second or even third acts and how you can take your career and life to the next level.

“In a tough economy we all need to be proactive and re-craft ourselves” says Lerner, CEO and founder of Creative Expansions

Inc., a world-wide community that connects businesswomen and experts.

“We’ll share new strategies, tips, war stories, mentor each other and create new ideas and connections that maybe we haven’t had before,” she says.

For more than two decades Lerner has helped women with issues from work-life balance, to health and wellness, to relationships and building self-esteem. Before launching her own company she was a teacher in the New York City public school system and then went into sales and marketing working her way to the top ranks at The New York Times.

“I’ve always had a deep passion to do this,” says Lerner about why she started her own firm. “We all have a vision and sometimes it changes at different stages in our lives-we just have to clear away some of the negative mind chatter and negative habits that don’t allow us to access that strength within us.”

Now in its 5th year, the Women

of Power Summit, hosted by State Farm, has attracted executive women of color in the pursuit of success in both their personal and professional lives. The four-day leadership summit has a speaker lineup from B.E.‘s roster of the “75 Most Powerful Women in Business” offering their expertise in the areas of crisis management, goal setting, leadership principles, entrepreneurship, and much more.

“The summit is an invaluable resource to make connections and contacts,” adds Lerner. “In our everyday job, I bet we don’t have the reflective time that is needed to not only move us forward but to also be creative. The summit is a wonderful place to do that.”

In the words of Lerner, “Dare to live fully!” Online registration is still available online.
