WIE Network Launches Kickstarter to Fund Women Empowerment Website
Known for their annual symposium that brings together leading women from all industries for a day of inspiration and empowerment, WIE, which stands for Women, Inspiration and Enterprise, is making bold plans to take their mission of inspiring career women to the next level with an online hub for daily content.
Launching a Kickstarter campaign to help raise money to fund the website, WIE Network is promising to bring daily content that will allow readers to learn about the careers of today’s most brilliant CEOs and trailblazers.
“From fundraising to navigating corporate culture, the WIE site will offer practical online learning for women,” WIE Founder Dee Poku tells BlackEnterprise.com. “These five minute videos are not just ‘inspiring stories’ but detailed specifics about how these exceptional leaders got to where they are.”
With industry greats such as Iman, Diane Von Furstenberg, Melinda Gates, Mellody Hobson and many more sharing their success stories at past WIE Network events, the organization hopes that a new website will allow career women outside of the major cities where WIE events have been held to feel inspired too.
“Eventually, we want to amass enough content for the site to be a searchable resource. A place to find solutions,” said Poku.
