Johnson says the merged entity plans to open a second branch in the Baltimore area and expand into Prince George’s County with some new branches within the next year. He says the county’s population is the largest predominately African American county in the country and has one of the nation’s highest per capita income levels for blacks.

Bender also says he expects nominal job reductions from the merger. Both banks have roughly 80 employees.
