Walmart Under Attack By Shoplifting Trios For The Holidays

In Memphis, the spirit of the holiday shopping season was marred as the local police are looking for a trio involved in a brazen shoplifting incident at a Walmart, according to Action News 5. On Dec. 10, two women and a man reportedly entered the Walmart at 6727 Raleigh Lagrange Road, filling their shopping carts with children’s toys, amounting to an estimated $3,400.

The suspects then walked out of the Walmart without bothering to pay for their items. The entire shoplifting incident was caught on the store’s surveillance cameras, providing crucial evidence for law enforcement. As of now, no arrests have been made, leaving the Memphis Police Department actively pursuing leads to bring the alleged perpetrators to justice.

However, this isn’t the only incident at a Walmart within the last month.

In Harris County, three individuals found themselves on the wrong side of the law following a theft at a Walmart in the 21100 block of Kuykendahl Road. Deputies from the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Office responded to a call about a theft at the store. Store employees reported that a trio of male suspects had stolen three CPU computers before making a hasty getaway in a vehicle, according to FOX26 Houston.

Law enforcement quickly sprung into action, locating the suspects’ vehicle and recovering the stolen desktop CPUs, valued at $700 each. The swift resolution led to the arrest of all three suspects, who were subsequently booked into the Harris County Jail on theft charges.

As the holiday season unfolds, retailers nationwide are grappling with theft and shoplifting incidents, urging store owners and law enforcement to heighten their efforts to maintain a secure shopping environment for customers.
