With a mission to “inspire women of all ages to walk into their professional passion and purpose,” the Walker’s Legacy prides itself on getting like-minded business women together to network, empower and motivate one another to reach higher levels in their career.
That’s why, during this year’s Congressional Black Caucus week, the Walker’s Legacy will host a woman of color roundtable discussion alongside the National Women’s Business Council. The invitation-only event will gather a select group of minority women business owners for an insightful discussion with White House and Congressional leaders in the areas of business, finance and entrepreneurship to address issues pertaining specifically to women of color entrepreneurs.
Featured speakers at the event include Heather Foster, public engagement advisor in the White House of Public Engagement, Isabella Guzman, senior advisor in the Office of the Administrator at the U.S. Small Business Administration, and Hallie Schneir, associate director of public engagement in the White House Office of Public Engagement.
The Walker’s Legacy roundtable discussion is scheduled to take place Tuesday, September 23 from 9 am to 11 am in Washington, D.C., with a Women in Business & Civic Leadership Awards program following later that evening. The awards ceremony
will honor Angela T. Rye, Esq., who is the principal and CEO of Impact Strategies, and Admiral Michelle Howard, who is the highest ranking female 4-star admiral in the history of the United States Navy. For more info about the Walker’s Legacy roundtable discussion head to walkerslegacy.com.
