Vine reached an impressive milestone on Tuesday.

an 40 million registered users–a significant increase from the 30 million users the service reported in early June. It’s been almost a year since Twitter acquired Vine and the short-video-taking app continues to prove that it’s a viable social platform, despite healthy competition from Instagram video and other services that preceded it like Viddy and Kik.We've said this before and we'll say it again: this community – now more than 40 million of you – is amazing. Many thought the app, which allows users to create six second videos, would
