According to NBC Sports, the Minnesota Vikings will not cut running back, Adrian Peterson, but a trade may take place. Peterson isn’t allowed to play because he has been charged with an indictment on felony child abuse charges in Texas.
This comes on the heels of another black eye for the National Football League with the video being released of the Ray Rice knockout of his then fiancee, Janay Palmer, in an elevator attack that took place in February of this year.
Peterson was arrested and jailed over the weekend for allegedly injuring his 4-year-old son in May with a ‘switch’ he got from a tree while the child was naked. Peterson could be sentenced to as much as two years in jail and a $10,000 fine, if convicted.
The team has already stated that they will not be releasing the running back anytime soon and the NFL isn’t expected to take any action as he hasn’t been tried in a court of law.
