NASCAR Now: View From A Black Woman Leader
Now ranked one of the top motorsports organizations in the world, NASCAR has come a long way from its “Dukes of Hazard” image as a pastime reserved for southern white good ole boys—thanks in no small part to the launch of its Drive for Diversity program nearly 20 years ago. Exhibit A: Latasha Causey, the first Black woman president of a NASCAR racing venue, Phoenix Raceway—home of NASCAR Championship Weekend. Causey joins Beyond The Hype to share her journey and give an inside look at how NASCAR is growing its fan base, especially in Black communities.
