John Thompson Speaks at Black Enterprise Tech Connect Summit
We talk to one of the highest-ranking African Americans in the tech world. John W. Thompson is the board chair of Microsoft and the former CEO of Symantec. He sits down to talk about his journey in the corporate world of Silicon Valley. Then, we recognize three pioneers for their exceptional contributions toward diversifying the tech industry. They are Ken Coleman, chairman of Saama Technologies; Caretha Coleman, chair of the Board of Dignity Health; and Roy Clay, Sr., founder and CEO of Rod-L Technologies. And finally we spotlight Bernice and Matthew Samuels, a brother/sister duo that turned the loss of a loved from cancer into a platform for others to share their personal stories of the illness with the world.
