Dr. Yolanda Page: Building an HBCU Legacy

When Dr. Yolanda W. Page heard a high school teacher speak so fondly about her alma mater, she visited the campus and knew it was also the right fit for her. Dr. Page is not only first-generation college student and proud alumna of Dillard University, but she spent much of her career there; overseeing the university’s first online degree program, a nationally recognized pre-law program, and Dillard’s Center for Racial Justice. She now leads by example, as her sister attended an HBCU, her son is a Morehouse student, and she has spent her 30-year career at HBCUs. Dr. Page discusses the value of these historic institutions, the unique position of women in leadership, and her journey to becoming the 8th President of Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
