This week on The Urban Business Roundtable, Joi Weathers chats with cosmetic maven Vera Moore. Moore is the CEO of Vera Moore Cosmetics. Moore’s products can be found on the shelves of major departments such as Duane Reade and Walgreens.
Moore is a history maker. She was the first black actresses on the popular NBC soap opera, Another World. As an entrepreneur, she can be credited with being the first black-owned business to set up shop in the 50 year history at Green Acres Mall Valley Stream in Long Island, New York. She joins the Roundtable to share how she launched her company to become one of the most progressive and prestigious cosmetic and skincare lines.
Also, UBR contributor Samantha Pass speaks with wealth expert and financial planner Gerald Grant, Jr., director of financial planning for the South Florida Branch of AXA Advisors and the author of Bold Moves For Creating Financial Wealth. Grant joins the Roundtable to share wealth-building strategies for entrepreneurs.
And finally, every week on UBR, you’ll hear Pepper Miller’s Y.O.U.-TURN segment, get motivation and inspiration from author and educator Dennis Kimbro, a weekly wrap-up of business news from USA Today business correspondent Charisse Jones, and our Patient Investor Report from Ariel Investments.
