At the start of the Republican National Convention (RNC), the Grand Old Party decided to trot out as many Black faces as they could muster up (well, except Candace Owens) to try to show just as much diversity as their political rivals, the Democrats.
A number of Blacks that did speak at the RNC included:
- Kim Klacik, Republican congressional nominee
- Herschel Walker, former NFL player and businessman
- Sen. Tim Scott
- Burgess Owens, former NFL player and GOP Congressional nominee
- Ja’Ron Smith, White House assistant
Twitter started trending with ‘Uncle Tom’ in response to the Blacks who are campaigning for the Republican Party.
