Twitter is another year older. The social networking site turns seven today, and the service has come a long way since the co-founder, Jack Dorsey, posted the first-ever tweet on March 21, 2006: “Just setting up my twttr.â€

For starters, the real-time platform now has more than 200 million active users creating over 400 million tweets each day, according to the networking site’s blog post
