Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, and Chief Legal Officer of Google David Drummond will be among the leaders there to help guide you along your way. Drummond will be hosting A Conversation with a Silicon Valley Powerhouse and providing details and insight on what it takes to succeed in the competitive tech playground that is Silicon Valley.
Drummond began working with Google in 1998 as the company’s first outside counsel. He was a partner at technology law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and helped the company establish its business structure and become incorporated. He joined Google full time in 2002 and now serves in an executive capacity. At Google, Drummond leads global teams for public policy, legal, corporate development, and product quality operations. He is also chairman of Google Ventures and Google Capital, both investment arms of Google.
In addition to his essential work with the front-running technology company, Drummond serves on the board of directors for Rocket Lawyer, Inc; KKR & Co. L.P.; and Uber Technologies. He earned his doctorate from Stanford Law School and holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Santa Clara University.
