Upsie is an app designed to take the headaches and guess work out of product warranties. Users can buy product warranties via Upsie instead of through the product manufacturer.

Why would anyone

want to do this? Upsie does away with the retail warranty’s markup price and can offer warranties for less. Plus, with Upsie, users can compare warranty prices and terms, have online storage for digital receipts, and can track when warranties are set to expire.

The app’s additional features include providing the ability to scan barcodes for warranty information while shopping, and also get warranty coverage for up to 60 days after a purchase.

Upsie has warranties for smartphones and other personal electronics; small and major appliances; and outdoor equipment and power tools.

Bethea started Upsie in 2013 as a way to bring fairness and transparency to the warranty industry. “We all want to protect our investments in the things we love, whether it’s a new television, a stainless steel refrigerator, or that riding

lawn mower you’ve always wanted,” said Bethea. “The process of selecting and managing extended warranty coverage should be just as rewarding as shopping for the products, and that’s the inspiration behind Upsie–to give customers more choice and control over the process, but also ensure it’s a fun and trouble-free experience.”

Bethea is a seasoned entrepreneur. Prior to Upsie, he created 2nd Chance Staffing, securing staffing contracts with local businesses. He also assisted in launching 43 Hoops–a premier basketball training academy which reached $1.5 million in revenue in its first two years.

Based out of Minnesota, Bethea coaches in the local basketball community there and is a committed mentor to young people seeking a path to success in business and entrepreneurship.

Upsie is a free app available on Google Play and iTunes.
