Talk show host Wendy Williams is known for dishing dirt and throwing shade about celebrities, but this time the queen of “Hot Topics” found herself in the hot seat with a well-liked “vegan food influencer.”
Tabitha Brown, who rose to fame with her folksy southern charm, and viral videos of meat-free recipes, shut down Williams’ messy fiesta with smiles and prayers after Williams dissed Brown for revealing that she retired her husband, a former police officer, after earning fame with increased earnings in her bank account.
Brown posted a YouTube video entitled “A 15 year dream has finally come true!! I’m retiring my husband!!!” on Jun 26, 2021. The 56-year-old gossip girl compared Brown’s husband Chance to her cheating ex-husband Kevin Hunter. Many social media users came for Williams and her verbal assault on “Auntie” Tabitha Brown.
In the first video, Brown reminisced about the early years of trying to make it as an actress. She explained that she and her family came to Los Angeles in 2004 with approximately $8,000 saved up to pursue an acting career. Upon arriving in California, Brown said that she landed a job at the retailer, Macy’s. Her husband, Chance Brown, began working as a police officer to support his wife while providing a stable income.
“I told him, I said ‘OK, bae, if you do this job, if you take on this journey in this career, give me five years,” Brown shared in the video.
The influencer revealed that her long-term plan was to retire her husband to enable him to be in a position to pursue a dream of his own. Fifteen years later, Brown informed her husband that the time had come. Chance appeared on camera while admitting that he felt “good” but had conflicting feelings about leaving behind a part of “one of his seasons,” which is working as a police officer.
When Williams decided to discuss Brown on The Wendy Williams Show, she focused on Brown’s announcement to “retire” her husband without sharing the couple’s backstory.
“I was married to one of those. You know, I make the money and so on and so forth. Go live your dreams. Buy a business. You know, stay with me, but go, go, go. You see how that turned out. I predict that this marriage is going to be on real rocky ground in a moment,” Williams said, predicting that the marriage wouldn’t last long.Williams’ ex-husband allegedly had an affair and a baby by his mistress, Sharina Hudson. The situation led to Williams getting divorced in 2020 after 22 years of marriage. Williams reportedly paid alimony.
Social media is buzzing about Brown’s classy clap-back. It began with blessing Williams, then she
commented about “the pain this woman must be in to feel this way,” and that she was “so sorry.” She spoke about the 23 years of matrimony she’s enjoyed with Chance and recapped that they were “broke for a very long time—together.” However, Brown credited God for allowing dreams to manifest.“We keep Him first. He is first in our marriage,” Brown said with a smile, referring to God. “Not money. Not business. Not success, but God. He is first.”
Brown closed her response by informing Williams that “she hopes true love finds her and holds her tight.” You may watch Brown’s video message by clicking here.
