In an interview on Friday with the Huffington Post, Soledad O’Brien who will soon be removed from her morning show slot on CNN, claims she is “really happy” with how things turned out with her assuming a freelance role for the network now; but she did have one grievance: she said her show “Starting Point” never received much support from the network.
“We did not get a lot of promotion. We did not get a lot of marketing. We weren’t fully staffed,” she said. “That’s just what happened.”
When she steps down in May, O’Brien will be heading her own production company, “Starfish Media,” which will work for CNN as well as other outlets.
