At the Entrepreneurs Summit May 13-16 in Atlanta, Black Enterprise is teaming up with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to host "Can Entrepreneurs Solve the Education Crisis?" The discussion will explore models that enhance the academic engagement and performance of students in grades K through 12. Christina Lewis Halpern Christina Lewis Halpern is a journalist, social entrepreneur, philanthropist, investor and the Founder of All Star Code, a non-profit that attracts, prepares and places black and Latino teenage boys in the tech career pipeline. Wes Moore Moore, a Army combat veteran and national bestselling author, founded BridgeEdU. The organization is an innovative college platform that addresses the college completion and job placement crisis. BridgeEdU Scholars will have the opportunity to earn 20+ transferrable college credits through a  curriculum that focuses on courses necessary for a college degree, such as writing, communications and math. Lamman Rucker Before the world came to know the Why Did I Get Married? actor, he was a high school educator. Lamman Rucker still has a passion for youth and education, and founded a non-profit organization, The Black Gents. The organization is made up of an all male ensemble of actors dedicated to promoting the positive images of black males through thought-provoking and high quality entertainment, youth empowerment initiatives and community service.
