Inevitably, an operating system becomes so outdated that it’s no longer supported. By then you really don’t have much of a choice about upgrading. However, when it comes to Windows 10 and your machine, is it something you have to do now?

Here’s a look at the pros and cons of updating to Windows 10 right now:

Pros
Windows 10 has, overall, received favorable reviews from industry analysts and everyday users. But you are really at the mercy of the community of other Windows 10 users who post about their own issues and fixes. There is also an abundance of articles, how-to’s, and tips on using Windows 10 all over the Internet.

Verdict
After weighing both the pros and cons, for most home users, Windows 10 is a recommended upgrade. Businesses, will hold off, and should until all in-house apps and programs are tested with the new OS.

For consumers, there isn’t much that has changed from Windows 7 and 8 from Windows 10. If anything, Windows 10 is a vast improvement over 8. Plus, you get the benefits of Windows 10, such as speedier performance, the app store, and Xbox integration. And, after all, it is a free upgrade.
