Serena Williams Loses to Roberta Vinci 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the U.S. Open semifinals
Today, as the 2015 Wimbledon semi-finals come to a close, Serena Williams lost to Roberta Vinci of Italy 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the U.S. Open, which ended a calendar Grand Slam title. But for Serena, congratulations are still in order for an incredible pursuit to make history on the tennis courts.

Day 10 Men’s Semi-finals
Roger Federer defeats Richard Gasquet with a 6—3, 6—3, 6—1 victory over  Gasquet.
Day 9 Women’s Semi-finals
Serena defeats her sister Venus to advance to semi-finals:Â 6—2, 1—6, 6—3.
Day 8 Men’s Semi-finals
Kevin Anderson won with a victory over Andy Murray with a 7—6(5), 6—3, 6—7(2), 7—6(0) win.
Day 7 Women’ s Semi-finals
Venus Williams defeated Anett Kontaveit in only 50 minutes, winning 6—2, 6—1 to advance to the quarterfinals.
Serena Williams defeated Madison Keys: 6—3, 6—3 in just 68 minutes.
Day 6 Men’s Semi-Finals
Roger Federer dominated Phillip Kohlscreiber, 6—4, 6—4, 6—4.
Donald Young defeated No. Viktor Troicki 4—6, 0—6, 7—6, 6—2, 6—4.
Day 5 Women’s Semi Finals
Venus Williams defeats Belinda Bencic with a 6—3, 6—4 victory.
Day 5 Men’s Semi Finals
Novak Djokovic wins over Andreas Seppi 6—3, 7—5, 7—5.
Day 4 Men’s Semi Finals
Petra Cetkovska defeated Caroline Wozniacki in a 6-4, 5-7, 7-6(1) win.
Roger Federer earned a victorious spot over Steve Darcis earning a 6—1, 6—2, 6—1
