Snowden, a former contractor for the National Security Agency (NSA), who leaked details of top-secret American and British government mass surveillance programs to the press, is on the run from U.S. authorities who consider him to be a traitor.

Snowden, who had been booked to fly from Moscow to Havana after arriving from Hong Kong on Sunday, didn’t board the flight at Sheremetyevo International Airport. While Secretary of State John Kerry urged Russia to “abide by the standards of the law” and turn Snowden over to the U.S, Russia has not done so, and the 30-year-old Snowden’s whereabouts are currently unknown.
