On Monday, October 22, ET backed initial reports from the Daily Mirror claiming Rihanna is planning a 2024/2025 world tour as part of a $39 million deal with Live Nation that will come after she releases new music.

Fans were celebrating the potential for new music as the “Umbrella” singer hasn’t released an album since 216’s “Anti.” But no sooner than the tour reports were announced, another source came to deny the claims.

“No tour has been confirmed for Rihanna,” the source told Billboard, noting that the singer hasn’t committed to any touring projects for the upcoming year.

Rihanna is fresh off the heels of welcoming her second child, another son with rapper A$AP Rocky. Baby Riot Rose was born in August, a few months after the superstar couple celebrated their eldest son Rza’s first birthday.

Fans were surprised when Rihanna announced her second pregnancy in February while headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Rihanna has been adjusting to motherhood by scaling back on her managerial duties with her fashion and beauty companies.

The “Work” singer stepped down as the CEO of her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty in June but remains heavily involved with the company.

“It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years,” Rihanna told Vogue Business.

“This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer.”

The Rihanna Navy is anxiously awaiting the Bajan superstar’s return to the music scene. She hasn’t toured since closing her Anti tour in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 27, 2016. Rihanna has only performed live three times since including the 2023 Oscars and 2023 Super Bowl.
