RHONY’s Eboni K. Williams Celebrates Body Positivity for National Shapewear Day with Shapermint

During a time where the body positivity movement continues to challenge beauty standards and destigmatize the conversation surrounding shapewear, Shapermint, the leading size-inclusive shapewear marketplace is at the forefront of challenging these stigmas one campaign at a time – with the help of some familiar faces.

On Tuesday, August 10th, in celebration of National Shapewear Day, Eboni K. Williams joined Shapermint for their “Celebrate Your Shapewear Confidence”

campaign and first-ever NYC on-the-ground activation. Joining a fleet of women, dressed in an array of Shapermint offerings on a custom-wrapped double-decker bus, Williams toured around New York City making stops at Bryant Park, Madison Square Park and Union Square.

“Partnering with Shapermint for National Shapewear Day was truly an inspiring and empowering moment for me,” said Eboni K. Williams. “To be able to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with some amazing women and engage in meaningful on-the-ground efforts with real women alike throughout NYC was an honor.”

Aiming to foster and empower a community that encourages open conversations, allowing every body to be supported, represented, seen and heard, Williams and Shapermint engaged with NYC consumers at each stop, giving out free shapewear and offering encouragement and support, while exchanging body positive affirmations.

Following 12+ months of becoming accustomed to the work from home life and as we prepare to re-enter the pre-Covid work world, how do we make a somewhat seamless transition? Shapermint is dedicated to making sure women are supported to feel and look their best as we all learn to re-navigate a space that isn’t as familiar.

“I hope that as part of our efforts, more women will feel empowered to speak up and contribute to the body positivity conversation, and celebrate their shape and wear confidence each and every day,” said Eboni K. Williams.

The National Shapewear Day NYC activation on 8/10 followed Shapermint’s week-long campaign and digital promotion whereby Shapermint committed to giving away $1M worth of free Shapermint Shapewear, while encouraging women to celebrate their shape!
