The Nielsen Company reported that 45.7 million people watched parts of the 2014 NFL Draft, according to Forbes. That’s a new record, topping the 45.4 million set in 2010.
The NFL Draft was shown on the NFL Network, ESPN, and ESPN2. The figures were for the three days the draft took place from May 8 to May 10.
Social media also recorded great numbers pertaining to the draft. There were more than 9.6 million tweets about the 2014 NFL Draft, up 211% from 2013. According to Nielsen Social Guide, an average of 10 million people per day saw tweets about the 2014 NFL Draft.
