Having the right resources to run your business and a group of solid connections to implement your ideas will determine the success and sustainability of your business. Studies show that more than 50% of businesses fail within the first five years and reports have revealed that black women average less than $30,000 annual revenues. A stronger network and resources could radically transform the future of your business.

QuickBooks Connect

is an annual meeting of the minds of the most engaged and forward-looking leaders in business. This is your chance to meet other driven leaders and learn best practices that you can implement in your business as soon as you leave the conference. All the action takes place in San Jose, California, from Nov. 6–8. Get your event pass here.

The theme for this year’s QuickBooks Connect conference is “Own the Future”. During your 2-3 days experience, you can choose from a list of sessions and training that will

put you in the driver’s seat and allow you to own the future of your business. You’ll learn more about digital technologies, network with others at meetups, and be in the center of the QuickBooks innovations that are taking place. You may also have a chance to win funding for your business like this black-owned make-up brand who received an investment from Backed by QuickBooks to fund their Indiegogo campaign.

At QuickBooks Connect, you can always expect to learn from a distinguished group of celebrity keynote speakers who are filled

with inspiring stories. Prior conference speakers include Shonda Rhimes (2017), Tyra Banks (2017), Shaquille O’Neal (2016), and Oprah Winfrey (2015). This year’s lineup of speakers includes Jade Simmons, Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Hyman, Katie Linendoll, and Michael McQueen.

The world is changing rapidly and your mental adaptability will have to transform as well in order to be relevant and relatable. You’ll hear from session speakers who share tips on “Running Your Business from the Car Using QuickBooks Online”; “Becoming an Apps Master”; and “Using Social Media to Grow Your Accounting Firm Exponentially.” You can review the agenda here

“If you want to improve your net worth and create a lasting impact as a business owner, you have to be around the right network. At QuickBooks Connect, you’ll have a chance to meet with other entrepreneurs who share your drive and passion. That’s why I try to go every year that I can.” says Jeff Wilson II, QuickBooks Advanced ProAdvisor and principal at The W2 Group accounting firm. “QuickBooks has helped me grow my business exponentially and build relationships that I still leverage today.”
