Pepco held its second Supplier Diversity Forum on Thursday, July 25, at Pepco Holdings, Inc.’s Edison Place headquarters. The forum was attended by more than 80 diverse suppliers from throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. Pepco Regional President Thomas H. Graham served as moderator of the program.
The event focused on serving disabled veteran owned businesses, and those certified as minority and woman owned business enterprises in the region.
“It was the best supplier diversity forum they had ever attended,” was the reaction from several of the business owners, said Graham adding, “This forum was an exchange of ideas and information designed to enhance the opportunities for diverse suppliers to form business relationships with Pepco and PHI.”
In 2012, Pepco made nearly $55 million in payments to diverse suppliers.
