Oprah Chai Tea Launches With Proceeds Benefitting Youth Education

It just wouldn’t be an Oprah collaboration if it doesn’t in some way, shape or form benefit the greater good of the community, right?

Starting today, Teavana Oprah Chai will be available at Starbucks and Teavana stores nationwide and in Canada with benefits from its sale going towards advancing youth education.

According to Oprah.com, the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy For Girls will receive $0.25 for every Teavana Oprah Chai tea handcrafted beverage, $1 per 2 oz. of Teavana Oprah Chai tea and tea tin, as well as $4 for every large gift set sold.

Other organizations set to receive proceeds from the tea’s sale include U.S. Dream Academy, Girls, Inc., National CARES Mentoring Movement and Pathways to College.

In celebration of the proceeds, U.S. Dream Academy announced in a recent press release that their students and centers across the country will show their appreciation to Ms. Winfrey with a celebratory sip of their first Teavana Oprah Chai tea in unity with their teachers.
