President-elect Barack Obama has launched his Website, Change.gov, for his transition to the White house. The Website went live today, and it invites users to offer their ideas for America’s future.
Readers can share their vision of what they hope an Obama administration can change and develop via the site’s “Open Government” section.
“The story of the campaign and this historic moment has been your story,” the Website states. “It is about the great things we can do when we come together around a common purpose. The story of bringing this country together as a healed and united nation will be led by President-Elect Obama, but written by you.”
Visitors can also view Obama’s historic acceptance speech via the Blog section, apply for jobs in the president-elect’s administration, or read about the president-elect’s agenda and planned policies. Brief bios of Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden are also available on the site.
