Johnson is no stranger to the limelight but it didn’t come easy. After having her son and leaving an IT position, she knew she
had to make some drastic changes to give her child the life that she knew he deserved. “I had a son. He’s my world but that changed things for me. I couldn’t move how I had previously been moving. I had to have a real conversation with myself about what I was going to do because the answer wasn’t to quit,” Johnson told Essence. “I started to think about what can create wealth for my future, so [I] and my son can stay stable. That’s how the Glamatory came about.”Her work can be seen on Bravo, VH1, Oxygen, WeTV, Aspire, and Lifetime. Additionally, Johnson has a partnership with Simmons that consists of a successful brand collaboration called LipART. In addition to the subscription service, Johnson also owns The Glamatory—a beauty boutique located in Smyrna, Georgia.
