Melissa Viviane Jefferson, better known as Lizzo, has been uplifting people with songs in her career, now she is treating some to lunch, according to The Detroit News.
The talented recording artist showed her appreciation for the nation’s healthcare workers by purchasing lunch for the emergency room workers at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit last week. In response, the hospital tweeted out a thank you to the “Truth Hurts” singer.
“We did everything we could to keep it safe for y’all. … I love you guys,” Lizzo said in the short Twitter clip. “Thank you so much for being the heroes in this story. And we’re staying inside and we’re praying and thinking of you guys every single day. God bless you.”
This isn’t the only hospital Lizzo has shown her appreciation for. She has done the same for some medical facilities in Minneapolis, Seattle, and Boston. Boston Medical Center also tweeted out a message to Lizzo for her response in helping the staff get fed as well.
Lizzo is having an extraordinary career. She was named Time‘s Entertainer of the Year, and at this year’s 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, she won Grammys for Best Pop Solo Performance, Urban Contemporary Album prize, and Traditional R&B Performance.
