Will Young Money sports soon be a thing of the future? We think so!
According to TMZ, YMCMB’s head honcho is starting his own sports management business with Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo as his first client. With this partnership, Lil Wayne’s company will be in charge of all of Ronaldo’s sports management affairs in the U.S., including branding, marketing, endorsement deals and even modeling.
With Weezy’s history of success in music and business, we can’t help but wonder if the New Orleans rapper has plans to expand his roster of clients to also include superstar U.S. athletes, putting him in stiff competition with Jay Z’s sports management company.
While there are no reports of any other talent that Lil Wayne may have his eyes set on, we do know that the rapper is off to a great start with Ronaldo, who has an earning of $80 million, making him the world’s second highest earning athlete according to Forbes.
Maybe if we listen in closely on Wayne’s next released single we’ll get a referenced hint or two about the next athlete he wants to add to the Young Money roster.
