Not having a bikini in a plus-size may not surprise many, but the fact that the Sports Authority did not manufacture plus-size yoga pants is a bit surprising. The sporting goods retailer is now doing something about it. On March 16, Sports Authority announced the launch of plus-sizes in their Aspire and Alpine Design lines.

The fashion line promises to be affordable, and cross-functional for yoga and outdoor wear. The garments include tanks, tees, capris, and pants. And instead of the sizes stopping at XL, they range in sizes up to 1X—3X.
The Sports Authority making this move to recognize the plus-size consumer is a rising trend. In February, Gayle King, co-host of CBS This Morning talked about how the fashion industry is playing catch up.
