Slideshow: Hot-Selling Merchandise Fit for a ‘Princess’
When Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog†opens nationwide today, many children will have already settled into bed in their Princess Tiana sheets or played princess with their Princess Tiana dolls. There has been overwhelming excitement for Disney’s first black princess, and merchandise — including fashion, Band-Aids, snow globes, and, of course, dolls — has been flying off the shelves.
“The historic release of the film has generated tremendous consumer excitement from fans eager to enjoy film-inspired dolls, plush, apparel, books, collectibles and a host of other products well in advance of the film,†said Mary Beech, vice president of franchise development.

The Magical Collection by Carol’s Daughter
One of three African American-owned companies that have created merchandise inspired by the film, the cosmetic and beauty products company created natural hair and bath products that gently clean, condition, and soothe little princesses.
