Lesbians Who Tech is hosting its second annual summit in New York, Oct. 1-4.
The summit is set to bring together  more than 1,000 women in tech, a group the organization says is “rarely represented in either of the communities of which they are a part— the tech community or the LGBT community— for the most unique technology conference ever.” It will be hosted at NYU Law School in Washington Square Park, along with satellite events at locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The four-day event, which will have a special focus on the intersection of technology and digital in media and finance,  will feature diverse activities and experiences.
The event will also highlight female leaders in the LGBT community who have fought for equality and against discrimination in the workplace and society.
Activities include an opening happy hour sponsored by Bloomberg and Meetup, a hackathon and leadership development workshop for executives, an entrepreneurship elevator pitch competition, Ted Style Talks, golf and biking, and a Friday Night Party. A representative from the White House, Monique Dorsainvil, will be moderating a fireside chat on How to Step Up Your Power, Â with Lisa Sherman, CEO of Ad Council, and Lydia Polgreen of The New York Times.
Other speakers and panelists are participating from a range of companies, including Google, Pixar Animations, Etsy, Dropbox, Amazon, and Twitter.
Founded by Leanne Pittsford, entrepreneur, technology strategist, UX designer, and tech investor, Lesbians Who Tech is an organization that seeks to provide a network for LGBT women in the industry around the world, promote tech vocation and careers among women, and connect women to other organizations making an impact in the arena.
