Lenesia Cooper, the owner and operator of GoGo Party Bus, is leading the way in the transportation industry with her company GoGo Party Bus.
GoGo Party Bus is a family-owned business of five years, located in Atlanta. Ms. Cooper was looking for her next big idea and wanted to create an event planning venue, but she quickly realized the enormous startup cost. Then, she had a “eureka” moment; she realized she could create a party on wheels instead! Thus, GoGo Party Bus was a GO!
Cooper plans to make GoGo Party Bus the No.
1 preferred form of transportation for celebrities and professionals in Atlanta. Not only does GoGo Party Bus help in celebrating birthdays, parties, engagements, and bachelor and bachelorette parties, but they also cater to corporate businesses with retreats and company functions.GoGo Party Bus operates six party buses with a team of part-time drivers and one operations manager. It has a range of vehicles with seating capacities from 14-30 passengers. Additionally, each bus is equipped with televisions, strobe lights, music, karaoke machines, and more. GoGo Party Bus prides itself on providing every customer with a safe ride, courteous and professional drivers, excellent customer service, and stress free planning for large groups.
Black Enterprise sat down with Cooper to discuss her newest venture, creating a GoGo Party Bus franchise.
Black Enterprise: What made you decide to franchise your business?
Cooper: The success of this business has skyrocketed within two years of being in operation. My focus has been on brand equity and low startup costs (as low as 15-25k). I felt this transportation service could be replicated easily with other individuals, who are serious about being an entrepreneur or who are looking for some residual income. I wanted to assist other entrepreneurs in making their dreams come true through owning their own business.
BE: Why should someone open a GoGo Party Bus franchise with you?
Cooper: A potential franchisee would benefit from the strength of numbers, the credibility of a known party bus operation in other major cities, excellent customer reviews, a strong support system, as a turnkey business with unlimited potential for residual income.
BE: What advice do you have for business owners looking to expand their brand through franchising?
Cooper: My model while expanding my brand is, “G.O.G.O!”
- Group Support: Have a support system or great team, whether it’s family or employees.
- Operations: Have a playbook or sound operations. Evaluate your business model to see if it can be replicated easily.
- Growth: When growing your brand, brand equity is critical [because it requires] being consistent with your product or services. Satisfied customers will continue to tell everyone about your business!
- Opportunity: Timing is key, [so] make sure you are financially and legally equipped to support a franchise model.
