LeBron James Family Foundation to Transform 60,000 Sq. Ft. Venue Into New Community Hub, ‘House Three Thirty’

Los Angeles Lakers superstar and future Hall of Famer LeBron James has proven he is already a king on the basketball court, and now he continues to build his kingdom in the education arena.

According to Time, the LeBron James Family Foundation (LJFF) has acquired the Tangier, located several blocks from the foundation’s I Promise School, to transform the 60,000 square-foot venue into House Three Thirty.

According to LJFF’s Twitter page, “House Three Thirty” is an innovative, multi-use space for I PROMISE families and the entire community to gather and engage in immediately impactful programming.
“Constantly building on a commitment to create change in LeBron’s community and beyond, today the LeBron James Family Foundation announces plans for House Three Thirty, an innovative, multi-use space for I PROMISE families and the entire community to gather and engage in immediately impactful programming.
“House Three Thirty will convene critical community resources under one roof including family financial health programming that is easily accessible and tailored to help families take control of their financial futures. Job training opportunities will be available through the venue’s varied retail, dining, and event spaces, designed to help I PROMISE parents, guardians and family members develop greater business experience and prepare them for future career opportunities. House Three Thirty will also serve as a community gathering space for large indoor and outdoor events, monthly meals, family programming, and important conversations needed to move the community and country forward.”
As seen on the LJFF YouTube page.

“House 330 is going to be a sanctuary for our families,” James told Time. “It’s going to be a place where all our families can grow and learn. This will be a hub for everything possible our families will need.”

“It’s another win for our families,” said James. “But also a win for the city of Akron, and then for the people that are actually going to be there and see our model and hopefully they take it to another community as well.”
