On the second day of the Baltimore African American Festival, Pepsi hosted a chat with actor Laz Alonso, moderated by Kwame Jackson. Alonzo talked with Jackson about his start on Wall Street, working for free in publishing sales to pursue his true dream of acting and his next Hollywood moves.
Alozo, who has starred in hit films including Spike Lee’s “Miracle at St. Anna” and T.D. Jakes’ Jumping the Broom, gave the audience insight into the sacrifices he had to make to pursue his career in acting. He also gave advice on how others can do the same, monetizing their passion by taking strategic steps to reach their potential and their career and business goals.
