Lauren London Opens Up About ‘Healing’ On The 2nd Anniversary of Nipsey Hussle’s Death
Actress Lauren London is opening up about the “grief and healing” she is still going through two years after the untimely death of rapper Nipsey Hussle.
It was March 31, 2019, when the ATL star was left heartbroken after learning her rapper boyfriend had been murdered outside of his Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles. Hussle was only 33 years old but had already made a name for himself as a local philanthropist who invested time and money into rebuilding his local community.
“The Day Of Ermias’ transition changed the course of my life forever,” London said in the post’s lengthy caption. “2 years, and it feels like yesterday and eternity all at the same time. Grief and Healing have been constant companions on this journey.” The This Christmas actress included the caption under a solo shot of the “Victory Lap” emcee. Since his passing, Hussle has received two posthumous Grammys in 2020 and was nominated this year for his feature on Big Sean’s “Deep Reverence.”
“In Honor of His life and demonstration… May all of Heaven exalt Your name for all You did on Earth and beyond,” London continued. “Brave and Beloved Soul, Ermias. You are missed deeply. You are loved immensely. You will forever be. I love you eternally. Your Boogie💙”
On Valentine’s Day, London shared a solo black and white photo that showed her looking up to the sky. “Look Up Boogie’ God Is Love,” she captioned the heartfelt post. Fans have continued to shower her with love and support since the tragic incident.
Together, the couple welcomed their now 4-year-old son, Kross Ermias Asghedom. Hussle also has a daughter from a previous relationship, 12-year-old Emani Asghedom. Since his passing, London has continued his legacy and kept his memory alive. Last year, she modeled for Hussle’s Puma collaboration he had been working on prior to his passing. Dubbed “Hussle and Motivate,” the collection aims to continue the late rapper’s Marathon clothing line. London’s latest tribute is another nod to the love the two shared.
