Lauren London Debuts The Marathon Clothing x Puma Collection

Nipsey Hussle‘s The Marathon definitely continues! Lauren London is continuing the legacy of the deceased rapper by gearing up for the latest release of his The Marathon Clothing collection, according to Newsweek.

London took the news to her Instagram account, where she debuted several photos for the latest release of The Marathon Clothing x Puma. The collection is named “Hussle and Motivate,” carrying on the legacy of the late rapper’s clothing line. Included in one of the photographs are Nipsey’s cohorts posing in gear with London. YG, J. Stone, and Pacman Da Gunman blessed the promotion for their dead friend.

The 33-year-old Hussle was murdered in front of his Marathon Clothing store, located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. On Sept. 5, Puma initially released the collection the slain rapper was working with the clothing company on at the time of his death. It sold out in a day on the Puma website. This release will feature the reissue of key pieces from that collaboration.

Hussle‘s Victory Lap album recently went platinum, and there is a planned tribute featuring YG, Roddy Ricch, Kirk Franklin, DJ Khaled, and John Legend at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards.

London collaborated with Puma last year to release her own collection, PUMA x Lauren London “Forever Stronger.” In a YouTube video released at the time by London, the caption reads, “Lauren London is proud to join forces with PUMA to support her on this next chapter of her journey. This piece was a creative vision Lauren wanted to bring to life to signify the continuation of her marathon alongside PUMA. Forever Stronger.”

Hussle was appointed as a brand ambassador for Puma in January 2018. Proceeds from the sale of the PUMA x TMC Collection go toward the organization his family has established, the Neighborhood Nip Foundation. The organization seeks to continue Hussle’s legacy by “empowering the South Los Angeles community and neighborhoods alike across the globe.”

London’s Puma X TMC collection is scheduled to go on sale on Feb. 1, 2020, on the Puma website.

London began her career by appearing in music videos and later starting acting in movies and television. Her first movie role was in ATL, where she played the character of Erin “New New” Garnett in 2006 and was nominated at the Black Movie Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role. She also appeared in Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family in 2011. From 2013 to 2015, she was a series regular for the comedy-drama The Game, playing the character of Kiera Whitaker.
