It looks like LaDainian Tomlinson is carrying the ball into the restaurant! According to Fox News, the former NFL player is partnering with Arby’s restaurant for one day in the city that never sleeps. For just one day only on Thursday, Nov. 7, the Arby’s at 611 8th Ave in New York City will be LaDainian Tomlinson’s Arby’s Steakhouse.
According to the Arby’s website, “The Grand Opening of LaDainian Tomlinson’s Arby’s Steakhouse takes place on Nov. 7th. Mr. Tomlinson will be present for ribbon ad width="320" height="250" type="doubleclick" data-slot="/21868623726/site264.tmus/amp2" data-multi-size="320x50,300x250" data-multi-size-validation="false" rtc-config='{"vendors": {"prebidappnexuspsp": {"PLACEMENT_ID": "27198239"}}, "timeoutMillis": 500}'> cutting and sandwich signing starting from 11 am – 2 pm EST. LaDainian Tomlinson’s Arby’s Steakhouse resides in the beating heart of New York City’s trendy Midtown neighborhood. Nestled between two other businesses and conveniently located near the M104 and Q23 bus lines.”
The restaurant is morphing into a high-end steakhouse, complete with luxury linen tablecloths and napkins, tea light votives for ambiance, fine petite filet steak, and a Hall of Fame football player’s name on the door. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. and a meet and greet with Tomlinson will follow at 12:30 p.m., local time.

Tomlinson is a former NFL player who was a running back for 11 seasons. He played the majority of his career with the San Diego Chargers, who selected him with the fifth overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. Tomlinson was invited to five Pro Bowls, was an All-Pro six times, and won consecutive rushing titles in 2006 and 2007, while being named 2006 NFL MVP. At the time of his retirement, he ranked fifth in career rushing yards (13,684), seventh in all-purpose yards (18,456), second in career rushing touchdowns (145), and third in total touchdowns (162). He is currently an analyst on NFL Network. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2014 inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August 2017, his first year of eligibility; he is the first Pro Football Hall of Famer whose professional career began in the 21st century.
