Perhaps best known for the single “808,” late 90s R & B group Blaque is mourning the death of group member Natina Reed.
Reed, whose role in the group was likened to Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes (Blaque’s mentor), was pronounced dead on October 27th, hours after being struck by a vehicle in Georgia.
The 32-year-old mother was once engaged to rapper Kurupt. He issued a statement to MTV News, saying in part “This is a tremendous loss to our family. Natina was a great person and I wish everyone had the opportunity to meet her and know her as I did.”
