Attention all Gladiators: You can now rest easy as Olivia Pope is here to handle all of your fashion worries.
Teaming up with “Scandal” costume designer Lyn Paolo and retail clothing brand The Limited, Kerry Washington is set to launch a “Scandal” fashion line that will now allow fans to get one step closer into the life, or shall we say wardrobe, of Ms. Pope herself.
“By creating a line inspired by the show, we are introducing a collection that embodies the elegance and power of the Scandal aesthetic for real-life gladiators and everyday fashionistas,” Us Weekly reports Washington saying in a press release. “The collection is a nod to our devoted fans, to fans of fashion and to women everywhere who are inspired to boldly pursue their passions and look good while doing it.”
The 42-piece collection, which is set to launch in late September, will offer Scandal-inspired looks ranging from $49 to $248, and will be available in The Limited stores nation-wide and on their website.
The concept of bring Olivia Pope’s fashion sense to an affordable clothing line is a beyond brilliant business idea for Washington, who reportedly earns $80,000 per Scandal episode, making her one of television’s highest paid actresses.
Clearly, the Bronx native knows more than a thing or two about brand expansion.
