Jeannie Mai Denies Preventing Jeezy Visitation, Concerned About His Firearms

Jeannie Mai is denying Jeezy's claims of keeping their daughter away from him by expressing her concerns over his firearms.

Jeannie Mai is clapping back at Jeezy’s claims of keeping their daughter away from him by calling out his “unsecured” firearms.

The former The Real host filed legal docs on Tuesday, Dec. 19, denying Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins’ previous legal claims of her not allowing the rapper quality time with their 23-month-old daughter Monaco Jenkins, People reports.

Mai, though, has her own concerns about Jeezy.

“It is essential to clarify that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety measures being put in place, such as safely securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecured in the past, as well as having familiarity and properly trained caregivers is absolutely not gatekeeping, but rather a responsible effort to prioritize their daughter’s well-being,” Mai’s filing stated.

“These requests are grounded in Ms. Jenkins’ genuine concern for the parties’ daughter’s safety and security, especially when under the care of others and traveling across the country, and are reasonable protective measures, not an attempt to restrict Mr. Jenkins’ access to their daughter,” the filing continues.

Her filing comes one month after Jeezy made a filing in Fulton County claiming he and the television personality “agreed upon a visitation schedule through the end of 2023,” but their agreement was “becoming increasingly less feasible.”

“The lack of consistency, continuity and stability inherently associated with such a haphazard and fluid parenting time schedule is stressful to the Child (Monaco), and it has, as is unfortunately inevitable with all families in transition, created unnecessary tension and confusion regarding not only parenting time but also in regard to each parent’s role and rights when the Child is in their respective custody,” the document stated.

However, according to Mai’s recent filing, she has agreed to allow Jeezy time with Monaco on every date he requested and even granted additional time for Christmas. The co-parenting agreement is heating up in the wake of Jeezy filing for divorce from Mai in September after two years of marriage.

In his filing he claimed the marriage was “irretrievably broken” and there is “no hope for reconciliation.” Earlier this month, Mai responded to Jeezy’s “gatekeeping” by seemingly accusing him of cheating during their marriage.

She cited a clause in their prenuptial agreement that said “the Court should enforce Paragraph 8 of the Prenuptial Agreement regarding infidelity which provides, in pertinent part, that in the event that either party engages in sexual relations, an emotional relationship, or is emotionally or sexually suggestive in communication with a third party via all forms of electronic communication, including but not limited to, texting, sexting, Facetiming, social media and/or Direct Messages, shall result in a significant financial penalty upon the adulterous party as specified in said Prenuptial Agreement.”
