“[African American] businesses are going to be looking to develop all kinds of business and trade ties with business associations and business groups, including those in the countries where the tsunami hit,” Hutchinson says. When it comes to helping out in a disaster, he adds, “Countries remember those things. From a business standpoint, it’s just a good, practical move for African American businesses to step up to the plate and get involved.”
