Inglewood has just opened its doors to a new coworking space for the creative community. In a recent launch, creatives, and influencers came together to mix and mingle over wine and hors-d’oeuvres while engaging with other like-minded artists and entrepreneurs networking at the newest hot spot.

The space was designed by Studio After Dark and Wiby Studios and affectionately named La Create Space. When you enter the building you are met with electric furniture that includes custom wooden handmade tables, comfortable sofas, and USB charging stations.
“The vibe reminds me of an Apple and Facebook mashup dropped right in the heart of Inglewood,” said member Courtney Jameson.
Hosted by the owners, who are, in fact, former Apple and Facebook employees, husband and wife duo Terell and Marisa Johnson shared with Black Enterprise that they wanted to build a place where small business owners, artists, techies, social media influencers, and content creators could come together, grow ideas and bring projects to life.

Guests of the exclusive event opening, curated by Small Gesture Big Impact Events included creatives from All Def Digital, Snapchat, Black in Tech, Uber , Faithful Central Bible Church, and more. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed food from Kitchen 350 and snacked on Desserts by Thoze Cookies!
Conversations flowed surrounding freedom within creativity, innovation, and technology. “The only way we can live is to live life through art with no apologies,” said Kanisha Buss from All Def Digital.
“La Create Space is a great idea that has come to life. The idea that creatives can come together and collaborate in their own community is simply amazing. I look forward to using La Create Space soon,“ stated former White House digital strategist intern Crystal Miller.
