In Search Of Great Soup

Here’s a chance to share experiences and uplift others. The people responsible for the popular Chicken Soup book series are calling for inspirational stories for a new installment in

the series, Chicken Soup for the African American Soul. Writers of stories that make it to publication will receive a payment of $300 and an opportunity to inspire hundreds of
thousands of people. Stories will be collected in monthly batches through the spring of 2003 “or until we receive 101 really great stories,” according to Lisa Nichols, a co-author of the book. “Stories should be 300 to 1,200 words in length and make the reader laugh, cry, or get goose bumps.”
