Drew Gooch slept in his car with nowhere to go. He couldn’t live with his mother because her boyfriend was a registered sex offender, WMC-TV5 reports.
But he didn’t let that get him down. He got a job at McDonalds, went to school every day, and maintained a 3.9 grade point average.
Now, he’s been awarded a full scholarship to Middle Tennessee State University.
“These scholarships are everything to me, because without them I would not go to school,” Gooch said.
