High Schooler Jaylen Bledsoe Heads His Own Tech Company, Bledsoe Technologies LLC

While most high school students are juggling schoolwork and after-school activities, Jaylen Bledsoe added entrepreneur to the equation. At the age of 13, Bledsoe founded his Missouri-based IT consulting company, Bledsoe Technologies LLC.

Starting with only five employees in 2012, the young tycoon has grown his venture to a 150-plus-employee operation and spearheads a global enterprise valued at around $3.5 million, the local Fox station reports. Bledsoe believes his abilities to take risks at a young age has been beneficial to his company’s growth.

“As a minor, there’s nothing you can do that will shoot you

down for too long. You can always jump back up and keep going,” he told Fox 2.

Bledsoe has big plans for his future. The teen has aspirations to attend Harvard after graduating from high school and wants to study business administration and computer science, eventually earning a law degree with hopes of becoming a copyright attorney.
