HGTV Star Carmeon Hamilton Loses Her Husband in A Motorcycle Accident
HGTV star Carmeon Hamilton recently opened up about how she’s mourning the loss of her husband, who died in a motorcycle accident over the weekend.
Hamilton, the winner of HGTV’s Design Star: Next Gen, took to Instagram on Monday to reveal the tragic news to her “extended internet family.”
“It is with deep sorrow and an eternally broken heart that I tell you that the love of my life, Marcus Hamilton, has passed away,” she said in a lengthy caption. “I was alerted by MPD late last night that Marcus succumbed to his injuries from a motorcycle accident yesterday afternoon.”

She remained transparent while explaining how hard it is for her to process the heartbreaking loss when it comes to their young son, Davin, who recently started the 7th grade, E! News reports.
“I can’t bring myself to figure out Davin’s and my next step, because there shouldn’t be a need for one,” she continued. “But in the midst of this immense pain came a wave of support from the community of people that we’ve worked so hard to build.”
After sharing the sad news, swarms of fans and supporters flooded her comments with prayers and words of support.
“Sending love from the entire HGTV family,” HGTV wrote. “Carmeon, there are no words to tell you how deeply sorry we are for your loss,” wrote Lauren Makk. “Please know we care sending you all our strength and courage during this unimaginable time.”
In March, the Memphis-based designer rose to fame when she was crowned as the winner of HGTV’s reality competition show. This September would have marked their 10th wedding anniversary and 15 years together, something she shared in a post in May.
“Meeting this man is the absolute best thing that’s ever happened to me!” she captioned a photo of them together. “We’re coming up on our 15th year together and 10th year of marriage and I can’t wait to marry him all over again in a couple months!!! I hope you guys are ready for this planning journey!!! It’s going to be epic!!!!”
